Equipment designed to be in place taking data for a prolonged period of time. These pieces of equipment are often small so that they can be concealed in a safe place where they will not harm their surroundings. They will often include features that will allow for collected data to be transmitted or stored for long periods of time so that they can be left unmanned for long periods.
